This month I started a new book. What could be more fitting to read then a book called Autumn right? 150 pages in and I’m enjoying it. Ali Smith’s writing style is simply lovely.

“I’m tired of the news. I’m tired of the way it makes things spectacular that aren’t, and deals so simplistically with what’s truly appalling. I’m tired of vitriol. Im tired of anger. I’m tired of the meanness. I’m tired of the selfishness. I’m tired of how we’re doing nothing to stop it.”

Vegan What I Eat In A Day’s/Recipes
After a bit of time off watching this youtube phenomenon I am obsessed again with these video’s. Perfect for extra meal ideas. Amanda Ducks, Maddie Lymburner, Lisa LorlesLiv’s Healthy Life and Ana Banana are some of my new faves.

Girls
I started re watching Girls this month. Thanks Showcase! It’s on every weekday at 11ish. Although it’s so different to my life situation I adore this show. It’s witty, smart and best of all deals with issues/topics that not many others delve into.

EXPERIENCED/BOUGHT

Bodhi – I’d been to Bodhi for the classic vegan yum cha during the day back in December and fell in love. This month I went back, but this time for dinner. And oh my goodness it’s even better then yum cha. Delicious range of options from “peking duck” to dumplings to spring roles. Couldn’t recommend higher. Whether you’re vegan or not, this should be the next place you go to eat.

Spirulina Powder – I’ve been starting to incorporate Spirulina into my diet lately. Spirulina is high in iron, beta carotine and protein. Most of the time I have it in powder form in the morning blended with berries, water and lemon juice. Really refreshing for the morning, and an easy way to get an extra boost of iron.

Blogging
This month I have been aiming to post something on this blog once a week. It’s nice to have a creative goal to tick off every week on the side of work and study. I’ve posted my favorite vegan restaurants, a music playlist called “Voice for The Voiceless” and a blog post dedicated to what I’ve learnt from my parents. Looking forward to continuing this next month.


LEARNT
This month someone from where I works life was tragically cut short because of a selfish decision of another person who decided to steal a car, cut a red light and hit the car he was in. This teaches me that you really need to think about other people before make decisions. Your choices shouldn’t be responsible for something bad happening to another, INNOCENT person. It also teaches me that the next moment is not promised, so appreciate every second and spend it the right way, and hold your loved ones close.
